Dr. Roland Ong

Dr. Roland Ong, is the founder of Nanyang Biologics. He has witnessed many cancer patients including his father-in-law being cured by the South East Asia Medicinal plants that are now currently used in our R&D.

Science and Technology Chair
Ravindran Govindan

Mr. Ravi has 45 years of experience in business, including serving as Executive Chairman of Fisher Scientific Asia Pacific. He founded Mercatus Capital in 2006 to invest in tech start-ups and has guided many to success, especially in healthcare. He also provides consultancy services to private and public enterprises, including Latona Associates Inc.

Dr. Winifred Yau, Ph.D.

Dr. Yau holds a Ph.D. in medicine and graduate certificate in intellectual property law. She was a research fellow in Duke-NUS Medical School specializing in metabolic disorders. Her unique blend of scientific and legal expertise equips her to lead the company towards innovative healthcare solutions and scientific breakthroughs.

Chief Strategy and Planning
Micheal Fong

Mr. Fong has 29 years of experience in international business, operations, and technology. He invests in and advises companies in pharmaceuticals, healthcare, and biotech, including plant-based medicines and AI-powered diagnostics. Previously, he was Managing Director & VP for Asia at Blizzard Entertainment and Managing Director at Activision Blizzard International.

Dr. Yi Chieh Lim, Ph.D.

Dr. Lim is an entrepreneurial scientist specializing in cancer pharmacology and healthcare solutions. Dr. Lim holds a Ph.D. in Medicine and was previously a Senior Fellow at the Danish Cancer Society

Giang Nguyen

As our Chief Technology Officer, Mr. Nguyen will lead our AI-driven drug discovery platform. With a background as an entrepreneur and technologist, he is passionate about AI's potential and brings valuable expertise to advance healthcare through innovative applications.

Clinical and Scientific Advisor
Prof. Izhak Haviv, Ph.D.

Prof. Haviv is a molecular pathologist spending 25+ years in translational medicine. He was an Associate Professor in the University of Melbourne, Peter MacCallum Cancer Center and has previously worked on drugs like Herceptin and Keytruda.

Kelvin Wu

Kelvin is an international entrepreneur and philanthropist with over 27 years in investment banking and private equity. He is the chairman of AID Partners. Under his management, AID  developed world fastest diagnostic kit for rapid detection of COVID-19.  Prior to founding AID, he was the President of Investec Asia, Managing Director of China Everbright Capital.

Ernest Tan Saik Hock

Born into a family of businessmen and entrepreneurs, he values family, hard work, education, and community service. Educated in Sydney (Marketing and Accounting), he has spent 25 years as a community leader and director of family and listed companies. He currently focuses on directing charity donations toward research leaders in medicine, environment, wellness, and aging.

Nanyang Biologics-NTU Joint Lab
Prof. Hoi Yeung Li, Ph.D.

Prof. Li is the lead scientist and co-director at the Nanyang Biologics-NTU joint lab. He completed his post-doctoral research at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. He specializes in cancer biology, mitotic catastrophe in cancer treatment, and natural product-inspired drug development using tropical medicinal plants.

Patrick Lee, Ph.D.

Dr. Lee is the business development advisor of Nanyang Biologics. He has extensive experience in business development.  

Innovation Analyst
Hien Minh To

Hien Minh is a junior biotechnology professional with experience in life sciences research and public health. She holds a Master's in Cellular and Molecular Biotechnology, specializing in Cancer Biology, from the University of Trento, Italy. In 2023, she interned at the WHO Science Division in Geneva.
